Toddler Program 16 months to 24 months

In our toddler classroom, consistency is essential for helping toddlers thrive. This stable environment allows them to practice and feel comfortable as they develop new skills. During this stage, toddlers learn through continuous exploration and interaction with their surroundings, enhancing their language abilities. They begin using simple gestures, responding to basic spoken requests, pointing to show others something interesting, and using one-word phrases. At this age, toddlers start to exhibit greater independence.

Our Toddler Program is specifically designed to support the growth and development of children aged 16 to 24 months in a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment. We emphasize fostering independence, curiosity, and essential social and emotional skills through play-based learning and structured routines.

What We Offer:

Structured Yet Flexible Schedule

A predictable routine provided stability while allowing flexibility to meet each child's needs. Transitions between activities are handled with patience and understanding. The schedule includes circle time when age-appropriate, outdoor play, exploratory learning including sensory play, music and movement, early literacy, meals, nap time, and potty training.

Individualized Attention

With small group sizes and a low teacher-to-child ratio, we ensure each toddler receives personalized care and guidance tailored to their needs.

Age-Appropriate Curriculum

We introduce toddlers to structured learning through play-based activities encourage exploration, problem-solving, and creativity. Our curriculum focuses on developing cognitive, motor, and social skills.

Sensory and Hands-On Experiences

Activities like sensory play, art projects, and music exploration are integrated into daily routines to engage your toddler's curiosity and enhance their developmental growth.

Focus on Social Skills

Toddlers learn to share, take turns, and interact with peers and caregivers, building foundational social skills. They will also participate in group activities to encourage cooperation and teamwork in a supportive setting.

Language Enrichment

Our educators support language development with interactive story time, songs, and conversations, helping toddlers expand their vocabulary and confidence in expressing themselves.

Encouragement of Independence

We encourage self-help skills like feeding, handwashing, and tidying up, empowering toddlers to develop a sense of autonomy and self-confidence.

Safe and Stimulating Environment

Our child-friendly spaces with age-appropriate toys and learning materials encourage exploration and independence.

Active Play

Daily indoor and outdoor physical activities help toddlers build coordination, balance, and gross motor skills while expanding their natural energy.

Potty Training Assistance

At this stage, we partner with parents to assist with potty training when the child shows signs of readiness. Some signs of readiness for potty training include: imitating your bathroom habits, removing soiled diapers, informing you when their diaper is soiled (even if they’ve already done so), and staying dry for two hours. Please inform your child's teacher when you and your toddler are ready to start this process!

Parent involvement and communication

We believe parent involvement is very important to every child’s development, therefore we keep communication open. The educator will provide a daily report through our Parent engagement app of your toddler’s activities including pictures of your toddler and any milestones that they have reached. We will also be available to answer any questions or concerns that you may have through this app as well.

Our toddler classroom is a place where children are encouraged to grow at their own pace, explore their world, and develop the confidence they need to take on new challenges. Schedule a tour today to see how we help toddlers thrive.
